About Me & Our Adventures

I've always had a passion for traveling, growing up in a family that cherished vacations and spontaneous day trips across Iowa. My journey into photography began with a Canon 35mm SLR my father bought. I didn’t have much of a clue about photography at the time, but my parents would load it up with film, and I’d capture whatever caught my eye. Those early experiences sparked a love for travel and adventure that has only grown stronger over the years.

Now, as an adult with my own family, I take every opportunity to hit the road and explore. We often take short day trips, as well as longer vacations—typically one to two weeks—throughout the year. Lately, we've started venturing into the world of overlanding, exploring rugged terrains in our Jeep Rubicon or Can-Am Maverick R. This has opened up a new world of adventure, allowing us to discover hidden places that most people don’t get to see.

The goal of this site is simple: to share our experiences and adventures with you. I hope to inspire you to plan your own journeys, discover new destinations, and perhaps even take the road less traveled. Whether you're looking for a weekend getaway or an off-the-beaten-path adventure, I want you to have the information and inspiration to make it happen.
